Ride Right is an engaging and interactive program designed to promote safe cycling practices and encourage community engagement. Through a combination of lecture and hands-on demonstrations, participants will learn essential skills to navigate their neighborhoods safely and confidently. 

Key Highlights: 

Benefits of Biking: Explore how cycling enhances physical health, fosters community connections, and provides an eco-friendly transportation alternative. 

Bike Basics: Learn how to properly fit a bike, considerations when choosing a bike, and an overview of essential bike components. 

Bike Safety Essentials: Understand the importance of correct helmet fitting, conducting pre-ride bike inspections, and applying hand signals. 

Rules of the Road: Navigate interactions with pedestrians and vehicles, obey traffic signs and signals, and utilize bike lanes and shared roadways effectively. 

Creating a Bike-Friendly Community: Advocate for bike racks, bike paths, and shared roadways to support cycling infrastructure. 

Interactive Components: 

  • Step-by-step demonstrations on helmet fitting and bike inspections.
  • Engaging videos to illustrate key concepts.
  • Live demonstrations using actual bikes.
