Bridget Epiphanie of Once Upon A Time Yoga Adventures provides an inclusive, non-competitive, creative class that is a fun, interactive story-based yoga adventure for children. Children’s literature combined with asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breath work) initiate self-confidence and instill self-expression throughout the story. The asanas build muscle, improve flexibility and help develop balance while teaching good posture. The pranayama techniques teach mindfulness to identify and calm our emotions throughout our story. The story-telling aspect helps stimulate their imagination while guiding children to learn self-control and how to self-regulate so they can better understand the connection between their emotions and senses within their body. Mixed into the adventure will be group and/or partner poses along with a yoga dance segment. Concluding with savannah (relaxation pose) the children get cozy on their mat using a blanket, if desired, to relax their body.  Yoga mats provided.

Session 1:  1:30-2:00pm for children entering grades K-3

Session 2:  2:15-2:45pm for children entering grades 4-6
