Purpose of Meeting
Artificial Intelligence is no longer a future concept—it is a practical tool that small businesses can use today to improve productivity, marketing, customer engagement, and decision-making. The Capital Region SBDC is proud to host AI in Action, a three-hour immersive seminar designed to help small business owners, entrepreneurs, and community stakeholders understand how AI is being used right now—and how to apply it responsibly and effectively in real-world business settings.
This seminar brings together national thought leadership, local business experience, and hands-on learning in a single, accessible program. Attendees will hear from the lead of the ASBDC AI Interest Group, learn directly from Capital Region small businesses and AI experts, and conclude with a guided, practical session where participants actively use AI tools to address common small business challenges.
The event is designed to foster collaboration across the small business ecosystem and will welcome participation from local colleges, economic-development partners, and elected officials, offering a shared view into how AI can strengthen entrepreneurship, workforce development, and regional competitiveness.
