Event Details

Alan and Alex brings together two Crandall Public Library favorites—world-class mandolinist Alan Epstein, and ukulele maestro Alexander Grandy. Alan founded the library’s Bluegrass Jam series (which he hosted from 2015 to 2024), and Alex teaches our adult ukulele classes. A shared passion for music brought them together, and the duo’s performances demonstrate just how electrifying acoustic music can be!

Folklife Live & Local is a free, 6-part music series produced by the Folklife Center at Crandall Public Library scheduled on Wednesdays, 5 to 7 pm in City Park during the downtown "Take a Bite." The series is made possible in part by funding from the New York State Council on the Arts supported by the Governor's Office and the New York State Legislature.
