Nature journaling is the practice of observing and recording the natural world using a combination of words, drawings, and numbers— or what we call "The Three Languages" of nature journaling. You do not need to be an artist or a naturalist to begin. Simply bring your curiosity and interest in nature.

In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics to Nature Journaling in . We will start with the how to use words, pictures, numbers to document nature. Then we will incorporate a three-step approach, called "I Notice, I Wonder, and It Reminds Me Of" that can be applied to any natural phenomenon. Through engaging, hands-on activities, you'll discover how to apply this approach to any subject, enriching your journaling experience and deepening your connection to the world around you.

This session with explore and take place in The Glens Falls City Park (next to the library). 

This program is for adults and older teens with all levels of expertise. Supplies will be provided. Registration is required. 

Join us in reading The Big Read selection, Fuzz: When Nature Breaks the Law by Mary Roach, and then participate in programs that revolve around the theme of Our Nature: How our physical environment can lead us to seek hope, courage, and connection.
