Purpose of Meeting
The Maximizing Social Security workshop provides fundamental working knowledge of the Social Security benefit program as it applies to retirement planning. Topics covered include addressing the complexities of navigating the system, the potential cost of planning mistakes, common benefit decision scenarios, and the treatment of inflation and taxes. The sponsor, Adult Financial Education Services (AFES), is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving financial literacy for those nearing and in retirement.
