What can we do to continue to develop ourselves and feel more content with our lives? In this workshop we will explore 6 aspects of wellbeing and see what our strengths and weaknesses are. By engaging in discussions, expressive writing (writing to and for yourself) and activities, we will come to better appreciate where we've come from and begin to take steps toward changes, we want to make toward a more fulfilling life. This workshop is lively and designed to provide you with tools and ideas for your continued growth beyond the workshop. Participants will not be required to share their writing; this workshop is not dependent on writing skill level.
This workshop is co-facilitated by Dr. Elaine Handley, and Melissa Pilkey. Dr. Handley is a published writer and teacher who believes writing can be an effective tool for growth and wellbeing. She has taught adolescents, inmates, veterans, seniors and adults returning to college. Melissa Pilkey is a licensed Mental Health Counselor, in private practice for 20 years specializing in women's issues, trauma, and adolescents. She has also developed and managed programs for adolescents and for people affected by cancer.
