About the artist: A chair caner and seat weaver for over 35 years, Christine Ferris-Hubbard also focuses her talents towards Scandinavian folk art, including weaving with wood and paper. Double walled Birch bark baskets, intricate Cherry and Maple stars, Black Ash reindeer, and traditional 3-dimensional German/Danish stars woven with paper. Chris has show her work at the Historic Salem Courthouse, Great Camp Sagamore, and the Adirondack Folk School, where she has also taught numerous classes in seat weaving. She has also taught classes at the Salem Bancroft Library, through adult continuing education classes, and privately.
