Event Details

Crandall  Public Library is launching a new creative writing workshop series, for adults! Sessions will occur every second Thursday evening, from June to November. session one will focus on short story writing, by using Freytag's Pyramid method for story development. Patrons will write for 40 minutes followed by discussion, sharing and peer feedback. This program will follow the Creative Writing Group guidelines outlined below. Please join us on this fun and creative journey! 

Creative Writing Group Guidelines 

  • Confidentiality-shared work will not be discussed outside of group meetings or with non-group members. 
  • Active listening-full attention will be paid, while fellow group members share their writing. Please do not write, read or talk while work is being shared. 
  • Comments and feedback-permission to provide feedback is required. And must meet following criteria
  • It must be non-judgmental- people over principle
  • It must be supportive
  • Communication and language must be non-aggressive and non-threatening.
