First quarter report

Families with children birth to age 3 are invited to join us for stories, songs, fingerplays, and more. We'll be outdoors in City Park, so please dress for the weather and bring a blanket or towel to sit on.  

Get seeds and all your gardening questions answered! If you can't make the Master Gardener time, the Seed Library is also open from 5-7 pm on Wednesdays and by appointment anytime!

Age appropriate toys and activities are grouped in play areas for your child's enjoyment. Meet other families with young children and learn about the library resources for families. 

Each month we will highlight different ways the Library can support homeschooled families. Kids will be able to ask questions and work with a librarian to help support their educational goals.

It's almost summer but Homeschool Hangout for Teens is still in session. Stop by the Teen Center to socialize with other homeschoolers, cool off, and make some beaded bracelets to keep or share.

Learn about Crandall Public Library's digital resources. This lecture will cover Hoopla, Libby and online sources patrons can get for free with their library card. Restrictions to resources may apply. 

Preschoolers can stretch, move, and relax in this fun and engaging Preschool Yoga session! Designed for ages 3-5, this class combines simple yoga poses, breathing exercises, and gentle music to encourage movement, mindfulness, and creativity.

Start an early love of reading with our baby story time!  Join us for stories, rhymes, songs, and play time.  Enjoy a special time with your baby and connect with other caregivers.

Extinctopedia tells a complex story, not just of those who are extinct but also of those in greatest peril, with explanations of what threatens their survival.

Toddlers, ages 1-3, are invited to join us for an afternoon of water play! Try out our water table, paint with water and explore pouring, scooping and splashing in bins with water-friendly toys!

Kids in grades K-6 are invited to join us for our weekly free art program.  Enjoy a different open-ended art project each week featuring a variety of art styles and materials.  No sign up required.

Meet in the Teen Center to play (or learn) dueling card games like Magic the Gathering and tabletop games like Blood on the Clocktower, Dread, or Clue.

Teens ages 13-19 are invited to meet in the Teen Center for LGBTQI+ conversation and a colorful craft: this month we are making and printing our own Zines.

Monthly meeting

Join us for our weekly after school group for kids ages 8-12, featuring various activities, games, and/or crafts chosen by the group. To be held in the Children's Activity Rooms.

Here is your opportunity to learn a new language! This monthly series, for kids in grades K-6, will introduce kids to American Sign Language. This month will feature animal signs and bingo.

This workshop is designed to introduce fun and simple exercises that will ignite participants' interest in drawing—specifically in the process and act of drawing itself. Each workshop will have a different theme.

Is your secret fantasy to write your own best-selling thriller or mystery instead of just reading them?

Sample a variety of Pop-Tart flavors, rate them on a ballot, and discuss the results.
