Families with children birth to age 3 are invited to join us for stories, songs, fingerplays, and more. We'll be outdoors in City Park, so please dress for the weather and bring a blanket or towel to sit on.  

Age appropriate toys and activities are grouped in play areas for your child's enjoyment. Meet other families with young children and learn about the library resources for families. 

There are many different ways to be creative. Children entering PreK-Kindergarten will experience four unique art experiences.

Inspired by Ghost River, a painting by artist Tyson Reeder which resides in the Tang Museum, kids will create their own ghostly scenes out of air-dry clay, and card stock.

Children in Kindergarten and up are invited to come practice reading skills with Louie, a certified therapy dog.  Kids will choose a book and read to the dog one-on-one during a 15 minute time slot.  Louie is a great listener!  Plea

Preschoolers can stretch, move, and relax in this fun and engaging Preschool Yoga session! Designed for ages 3-5, this class combines simple yoga poses, breathing exercises, and gentle music to encourage movement, mindfulness, and creativity.

Chef Steve Sutliff will give us a taste of Brazil. Learn how the culture and history of Brazil has shaped the food they serve and enjoy.

Start an early love of reading with our baby story time!  Join us for stories, rhymes, songs, and play time.  Enjoy a special time with your baby and connect with other caregivers.

Tweens ages 8-13 will learn to play Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition over the course of six weeks.

Come hear color-themed stories and then learn how to make a fun and (mostly) healthy snack! We'll provide all the ingredients for a layered rainbow fruit cup and a pretzel rod wand with rainbow sprinkles.

Toddlers, ages 1-3, are invited to join us for an afternoon of water play! Try out our water table, paint with water and explore pouring, scooping and splashing in bins with water-friendly toys! Drop-in, no registration required.

Kids in grades K-6 are invited to join us for our weekly free art program.  Enjoy a different open-ended art project each week featuring a variety of art styles and materials.  No sign up required.  

This free, 5-part ukulele class is for kids in grades 2-6! Instruments provided. Must be able to attend all 5 sessions: June 30th, July 14th, July 28th, August 11th, and August 25th. Please email Emma (erogan@sals.edu) to sign your child up.

Join us for our weekly after school group for kids in grades 4-6, featuring various activities, games, and/or crafts chosen by the group. To be held in the Children's Activity Rooms or outside in the park if weather permits.
